Abstract. Thanks to profuse flowering and large flowers, zinnia from Mondo group is a very attractive plant to be cultivated in seasonal flowerbeds, in gardens and in town greenery. The cultivars have a very well-levelled pace of growth and blooming.

(Zinnia elegans Jacq.), Mondo group, in the North-East of Poland

Summary

Thanks to profuse flowering and large flowers, zinnia from Mondo group is a very attractive plant to be cultivated in seasonal flowerbeds, in gardens and in town greenery. Cultivars of Zinnia elegans included in the Mondo group, differed in terms of morphological features. All cultivars examined in the study had similar blooming times, full blooming times and blooming termination times. The cultivars had a very well-levelled pace of growth and blooming.
